Learn to Sew Clothes Class — Intermediate

This class is tailored for graduates of our Learn to Sew Clothes Beginners course and those with prior experience in sewing clothes who are eager to enhance their pattern reading, fitting, and technical skills.

Under the guidance of our experienced tutors Emma and Faith, you will delve into every aspect of intermediate garment making. From accurate measuring for size determination to deciphering and tracing patterns, adjusting them to fit your body shape, cutting fabric pieces, and mastering advanced techniques such as sewing zippers (both visible and invisible), collars, buttonholes, sleeves, necklines, and intricate pockets.

To participate, you will need to purchase one of the following patterns:

• Matchy Matchy Sewing Club PDF Pattern for $22 OR
• Avid Seamstress printed pattern for $36.40 OR
• Paper Cut Patterns printed pattern for $33-$38

When: Saturdays -August 24, 31 and September 7, 14, 21 and 28.

Please Note: The class cost does not include fabric as individual requirements will vary. We will have a great selection of appropriate fabrics in store that you can buy before the class or on the day. (We recommend before so that fabric can be washed to account for a small amount of shrinkage).

Accessibility: Despite our goal to have an accessible sewing classroom, in our current location the classroom is unfortunately up a flight of stairs. There is a small bathroom downstairs, not wheelchair accessible. If you have any queries about the accessibility of our classroom, please give us a call.

We do have a mobile classroom which we take to different venues that are wheelchair accessible, so please do keep an eye out for those classes if you are unable to visit our North Hobart store.

NO SHOW POLICY

All Wild Stitch Studio Classes are limited to a certain number of class participants.  You do need to give us notice if you wish to cancel your class.

If you are unable to attend the class that you have booked, you must give us

1 WEEKS’ NOTICE.

Failure to do this means that your fee has been forfeited.

Last minute cancellations will also be considered as No Shows
