COLLABORATE

Where compassion meets creativity. Frangipani Fabrics is your community sewing hub in North Hobart, Tasmania. Our sewing school, welcoming students of all abilities for over 10 years, has been expanding in recent years to include more arts and community projects and collaborations.

We are committed to nurturing creative agency and a sense of belonging, well being and connection in members of our community who need it most. We believe that every individual should be able to access new and engaging experiences, and be met with a patient and non-judgemental teaching attitude.

From beginner sewing courses, to community sewing bees for a good cause, to creative and therapeutic textile art workshops – we offer a range of skills and are always excited to apply them to new contexts and work with you to develop a program or workshop.

Our classroom is mobile and adaptable, so we can offer projects from our classroom ore come to where we are needed. If you have an idea for a collaboration or want to know more about what we do please get in touch!
