STITCHING SANCTUARY

We're thrilled to announce our partnership with Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary. Join us in making a difference this bushfire season by creating pouches for rescued wildlife.

Anyone can contribute from the comfort of home or in our classes. These pouches need to be from the same pattern and have specific fabric requirements. It is important to follow our free pattern to ensure all pouches are made the same.

Crafted pouches can be dropped off at Frangipani Fabrics and will be delivered to Bonorong, where your pouch can be sponsored for $20 by anyone. Your sponsored pouch will have your name and sponsors and delivered to a Joey, providing a special connection.

It’s very important that each pouch is flannelette on the outside, cotton inside, and has a sewn-on tag. You can write your name on the tag and leave space for the sponsor's name. The free pouch pattern, fabric requirements, fabric specifications and more info are available on our website homepage. All funds raised from sponsored pouches go towards rescuing and caring for wildlife.

For added convenience, pick up a pre-bundled “Stitching Sanctuary'' kit in-store for $30. It includes all required fabrics, a name tag to sew on, a printed pattern, and step-by-step printed instructions. However, we are also encouraging you to use fabrics from home (if it is the correct fibres) - this project is about making a difference, not selling products.
