What if the worn, torn and distressed clothes in your wardrobe were the most interesting ones you own?

In this hands-on Visible Mending workshop, you'll learn to transform frayed hems, holes, rips and stains into deliberate, beautiful design features using techniques drawn from Japanese Sashiko and Boro traditions, hand embroidery and appliqué.

This is slow, mindful making rooted in a circular approach to textiles. Rather than discarding clothes that are past their first life, we learn to bring them into their next one.

Bring your own torn, worn or distressed garments, we’ll supply the rest.
