We’re on the lookout for lovely old sewing machines with a bit of life left in them.
At Wild Stitch Studio, our classroom machines get a lot of love—from little hands learning to thread a needle for the first time to grown-ups rediscovering the joy of making. With classes, community programs, and creative chaos happening year-round, we’re always in need of extra machines to keep the magic going.
We’d be so grateful for donations of sewing machines that are: 🧵 In good working condition (no mysterious clunks or sparks, please!) 🐢 Ideally with speed control – this is a real bonus for beginner adults and crafty kids ✨ Clean and ready to plug in, with all cords and foot pedals included
If you’ve got one gathering dust in a cupboard—or know someone who does—we’d love to give it a second life in our studio.
How to donate:
Bring it in to Wild Stitch Studio (313A Elizabeth Street, North Hobart) during shop hours. Or give us a call/email first if you’re unsure. We’ll give it a good home and make sure it’s used by people learning, making, and creating something special
